Why your thoughts could get you f*cked.

Usually, it’s just thoughts. Not some deeper voice. Not you discovering new perspectives.
It’s just your mind using your awareness to create newer connections and present by way of thoughts.
So stop taking each one of those seriously. We get fucked that way.
Believing it every time you think something like- maybe I’m still in love with x cause I can’t stop thinking about him or maybe I should just quit everything or maybe I have this ‘feeling’ that’s saying nothing is going to change-
these are just some connections your mind is making based on a selective focus on some supporting memories/ experiences while conveniently eliminating the contradicting ones.
In reality, we think what we want to or more precisely, we think about what we think. Not everything makes sense.
Like usually from a bunch of data that rolls out of a system, more than enough is crap, an unnecessary byproduct of the equation that should necessarily be dumped.
It’s those few thoughts, those few connections your mind makes that actually make sense, that are actually the ones you should pick and act on.
How do you decide which ones?
It would be a judgment call but I’d say start with choosing those that aid your growth and not destruction. It’s that simple, and not too.
